Heat oil in a pan, and fry the vegetarian chicken when it reaches 60% heat. 5. Fry over low heat until both sides are golden and puffed up, then remove and set aside. 6. Leave a little oil at the bottom of the pan, add the white parts of the scallions, dried red chili peppers, and star anise to stir-fry until fragrant. 7. Pour in the vegetarian chicken and add cold water to the level of the chicken. 8. Add 1 tablespoon of light soy sauce. 9. Add half a tablespoon of dark soy sauce. 10. Add 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce. 11. Add half a tablespoon of sugar. 12. Add salt to taste. 13. Add a small amount of five-spice powder. 14.
